A Digital art trend

Hi guys, Shatterings here again. Due to the pandemic, we haven’t been out of our house for some time, so yesterday we decided to head to a new art fair to take a look around, but it isn’t just any regular air far.Its a new Digital art fair that showcase different digital art across the world. The Digital art fair is located at the Queen’s Road at central, Hong Kong. The art fair was quite crowded, and it isnt exactly big as well, but there are quite a lot of different art styles and pieces of art for us to enjoy.

Within the Digital art fair, there are a total of 5 topics depending on the section of the floors, and they are Immerse, Pioneer, Prestige, Virtual and Inspire. Each of these topics have their own unique artworks, but my favourite is currently the Virtual, not only because you can enjoy the Virtual world of Art made by the artist, but also its very cool that you can be one with the art with the help of virtual reality. If you are planning to visit the Digital art fair on your own, I dont really want to spoil too much of the artworks, but I’ll take about some of the artworks that’s the best in my perspective.

First, on the ground floor, there is a piano that is linked with the world’s digital currency. Whenever one of the world’s digital currency dropped or rose in value, the piano screen will create a different sight, which also means that each sight is unique, as its almost impossible for the world’s currency to go back to it’s usual state at the same time, since there are thousands of currency changes within a matter of seconds. Second, on the first floor, there is a dragon virtual reality. Maybe its just because I like dragons a lot, but the art work is really cool. Once you wear the Virtual goggles, you will dive into a world of artwork made by ink. Its a beautiful scenery with great mountains and fierce waves, and you will be riding a dragon across the sea/mountains and enjoy the scenery. There will also be a scene that you will dive into the water surrounded by dragons, and you will be able to see the coral reefs within the deep sea. Thirdly, there is also a massive room on the ground floor near the entrance, the whole room’s walls are screens, and once you walk in, each screen will start blinking with different colours, syncing with the other screens. The screen will also blink rapidly, so if you dont like white flashing lights, I recommend you to just enjoy the room from the outside.

In my opinion, the whole digital art fair is fairly cool, although some of the art are quite confusing and sometimes I don’t really understand what they mean, but its a good and interesting experience for everyone to try out once. Thanks for reading, and I hope you have a nice weekend.
